Senior Cloud Support Engineer (Level 3) – Zaventem

Our client is looking for a hands-on Senior Cloud Support Engineer to strengthen and evolve a modern Azure and hybrid cloud environment for a global organization headquartered near Zaventem. You will act as a Level 3 escalation point, leading complex technical resolutions and driving automation, reliability, and performance across cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Operate, troubleshoot, and improve Azure and hybrid infrastructure
Lead incident resolution (L3), root-cause analysis, and preventive actions
Implement and enhance high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
Drive automation-first operations using Terraform, Bicep, ARM, and PowerShell
Manage AKS and containerized workloads
Strengthen monitoring, logging, and observability systems
Enforce cloud security, IAM, and compliance standards
Support FinOps practices to optimize cloud costs

Technical Expertise

Cloud: Azure (core), hybrid/multi-cloud understanding
Services: Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Conditional Access, VMs, networking, storage
Infrastructure: Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, Citrix
Networking: DNS, VPNs, firewalls, hybrid connectivity
IaC & Automation: Terraform, Bicep, ARM, PowerShell, REST APIs
Containers: Docker, Kubernetes (AKS)
Observability & Security: monitoring, logging, encryption, compliance
Resilience: backup, recovery, HA, managed databases

Profile

7+ years in IT support, with 3+ years in senior cloud/infrastructure roles
Proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented
Strong communication skills
Fluent in English (Dutch or French is a plus)
Relevant certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, CCNP, ITIL) preferred
Experience with CI/CD or FinOps is a plus
